It's the same problem on all emulators, so I think that there are only 2 options : - probably a copy protection on the game disk. If someone can disable this protection, than the user disk should be recognized - maybe the user disk needs to have a special format. In this case, someone should make a dump of the 'real' user disk
I have found the userdisk for this game!!
You can get it here
http://rapidshare.com/files/117636967/LaplaceNoMaUserDisk.DSK.html
It works w/ both versions of Lapalce no Ma from the recent Tosec Set.

After more research, I think the second option is the good one.
I've checked the user disk of another Humming Bird game, Record of Lodoss War, and it uses indeed a special format with texts at beginning and end of the disk that allow to check if the good user disk is inserted.

Post subject: Laplace's Evil Spirit (1989)(Humming Bird Soft)(jp)...
The recent tosec image doesn't include the original user disk...
I have tried create custum user disk as directed by BlueMSX helpfile(including formating w/ "call format"), but the game doesn't recognise my costum built userdisk and keep saying "insert user disk, and press space" in Japanese.
Does this game use a special type of user disk? or is it just BlueMSX's compatibility?
My machin setting is Panasonic MSX2+, by the way
