Q: How to create Blank Media in blueMSX? (ie. DISK & TAPE)
A: Creating a blank dsk via blueMSX is very easy. blueMSX supports new image creation via file requester.
Here is the quick procedure; first off you will need to boot blueMSX with DISK support. Be sure you eject anything mounted in the slot & disk drive. Now from the disk menu select Insert to open file selection. In File name dialog please type in a new name without selecting any existing file. Let's say "blank" and type that and hit "enter" or push "open". This will create an empty dsk image. Now you have a blank "unformatted" dsk image.
If you want to format the disk you just created, do the following. From MSX BASIC type "call format" and specify a drive which you have your empty dsk image mounted.
Easy huh? Now let's go on to CAS file creation. Creating empty cas image is almost identical to FDD creation. Just do the same from the cas insert file menu. The difference is that you do not need to format the cas file.
Now for empty ROM creation..... just kidding. _________________ Benoît
