|
|
Hi, I am stupid, knew it.
I just downloaded the latest version of bluemsx, and I'm going to play princess maker with 7 dsk files inside it, so.
Anyone can guide me step by step how do I play it?
I'm confused with the manual.
Thanks!

I mean, I can't get the game to start in my bluemsx, what do I do first?
First I put all the dsk files in drive a: (directory) then I play it but I only viewed a blue msx logo, what command do I have to input so It'll play? |

This blue screen opens
| Quote: |
MSX BASIC version 2.1

DISK BASIC VERSION 1.0
OK
color auto goto list run

It doesn't autoplay, someone has the same problem with me, but if I type "files" then it will say disk offline

If you have this screen, that it means that you don't have any disk image in the virtual drive or that you don't have inserted the FIRST disk image.
If you run the original version, you need to select a Japanese machine in Options/Emulation (MSX2 Japanese - MSX2+ - Turbo-R) _________________ Benoît

| But I have inserted it by using file>disk drive A>insert directory>I picked pmaker_english>and the blue screen appears, I downloaded it the same link with BLASTX77 in "I'm probably doing something wrong....." forum |

The error is here : >insert directory
You need to >insert (the 1st option BEFORE insert directory)
Insert directory is a feature of the emulator that is explained here :
http://www.msxblue.com/manual/dskmenu.htm
It is not useful for many commercial games, as they "hide" all the data in the sectors of the disk and have a special boot sector. _________________ Benoît

Close first the emulator and delete the files in the SRAM sub-directory.
Then restart the emulator, insert the first disk in the virtual drive A: and press on F12.
Virtual drive A: means that it's NOT the real drive A:, but a virtual drive IN THE EMULATOR itself _________________ Benoît

It's a subdirectory of the blueMSX directory.
So, if you don't have changed the default installation, it's
Program Files/blueMSX/SRAM
Don't delete the subdirectory, only the files in this subdirectory. _________________ Benoît
