Is there anyone on the development team, who would be interested in updating the Xbox port to a more recent version?
I believe the core used on the Xbox port is v1.4.0? |

That's right, this port is based on version 1.4.0.
Unfortunaly, no-one in the team is interested to "update" this port and we don't have any contact with the different authors of the port. _________________ Benoît

Is the 1.4.0 version of the PC based BlueMSX available?
I'd like to test if some games that do not work on the Xbox port, might work in this version.
Some translated games (and others) do not work on the Xbox port, but obviously work now on the 2.8.2 version.
I am in contact with a coder, who is working on a range of Xbox ports for various systems.
Is there any suggestions on what changes he could add, to make the compatibilty better? |

We don't have no more on our servers and harddisks so old versions. Besides, if you take a look at the version history of the emulator, you will notice so many changes, not only between version 1.4.0 and version 2.0, but also between version 2.0 and version 2.8.2.
Versions before version 2.0 are based on fMSX with all the linked problems of accuracy and "strange" licence. From version 2.0, blueMSX is completely open source and free from fMSX non-accuracy and limitations. That's the main reason why we don't support no more these very old versions.
The best way to port blueMSX with an updated core is to compile our code source on Sourceforge : you will find there a bluemsx lite version (without the Windows interface) and it has been used for example by the blueMSX-Wii crew.
